Home remedies for Obesity

OBESITY in Ayurveda refer as “Aatisthoola or Medo vridhi”, obesity is impairment of gastric fire responsible for breaking up fat molecules. 

Obesity is a complex metabolic disorder rooted in imbalance bodily doshas primarily Kapha. Ayurvedic treatment for obesity focuses on restoring dietary balance, combination of different herbs for improving metabolism, and life style changes which includes some yogasana and physical activity.

  • Excessive increase in body fat and weight.
  • Fatty and bulky body stature.
  • The patient usually lethargic, inactive and obsessed.

Obesity Home Remedies 

  1. Soak Trifla powder overnight in warm water. Take this on an empty stomach first thing in the morning for few days. You can add 1 tsp of honey for taste in it.
  2. Mix half tsp honey in glass of warm water along with few drops of lemon and take it every day in the morning.
  3. Take approx. 15 grains of pure gugglu, 2 or 3 times along with hot water.
  4. Dry massage of the entire body should be practiced daily.
  5. Mix groundnut flour in wheat flour and make in to chappatis.
  6. Taking 1 to 2 grams of Shilajeet per day may be help
  7. Green tea is rich in anti oxidant help in loosing weight and body metabolism.
  8. Soak one table spoon of fenugreek in 250 ml of water for whole night drink it in the morning, helps in weight management.
  9. Consuming black coffee without sugar or dark chocolate can help in weight reduction.
  10. Consume one tsp of Apple cidar vinegar along with one glass of warm water. And you will notice difference in 4-5 weeks.
